Leap of Faith

Have you ever done that? Your own Leap of Faith. I did that many times but only these past few years I knew that the leaps I did was for the right faith. I didn’t keep count of my leaps but the results are all well in my life. Stretching back 7 years ago was when I felt that life is worth every single push to the top. My dear Grandpa ended 73 years of blessings here and went home to JC to start a new one. It was my first defining moment as a person. I lived with my Grandpa since I was only single digit. Letting him go was hard BUT I let go really fast. My first lesson in life that time was every one of us is here in this God given Earth for a single reason: To Love. Once you figured out (or couldn’t) what Love is then you’re through. It is through my Grandpa’s love, I can see reflections of JC in him. ...

V3 of StartupLokal at Telkom GCC

For the last 2 #StartupLokal I was high because of its geeky spirit. You CANNOT buy geekiness cos it’s coming from deep inside of you, it’s who you are. V3 is getting less geeky and more corporate. Is it a price geeks pay for more exposures among other freebies? I’m trying to figure out why the last 2 events were such inspiring moments for me and yet this third one felt more like a seminar. Being a developer and a startup founder, I experienced the limitations of a startup. Maybe because it’s such an open space, the limitation is seamlessly gone? I don’t know but I wanna know. ...

Hello Urbanesia!

A cheerful morning today. Exactly 1 month before my birthday and the switch to Urbanesia is complete. Very happy to integrate with Urbanesia with the role Chief Innovation Officer. Selina Limman, CEO of Urbanesia told at Urbanesia’s blog here a short recap on how this all began. From my point of view, I just love Urbanesia’s currently over than 200.000 POIs database. No other local website is enriched with that much data and its quality is an example to follow. ...

What a Day this 2nd of July 2010

Today is a FULL day for me. Aside from being a full day, it’s a day of happiness for me personally and professionally. My biology clock today was a bit off, but it’s well worth the day. The day started at 00:00 and at that time I was in front of my MacBook coding. I sometimes wonder why I code. I was coding for a dream I once had with friends and wanting to live the dream again. Thank God Code Igniter is there to the rescue. Coding is almost effortless with Code Igniter lol. ...

Poligamy AR - Redesigned UI - by @andreasfendri

Hi everyone. This past few weeks, a friend of mine @andreasfendri is working on a renewed UX for Poligamy AR. I am in debt with him and please accept my thanks ndre :) Back to Poligamy AR, it’s a needed refreshment from the standard Android UI set. The design is now featuring custom made tabs and list view. Looking at the design initially, I was impressed with Andre’s touch of modern UI and combining it with wooden elements. ...

Android Apps NOT Safe - Really?

This past 24 hours, tech blogs around the globe have been pointing out that 1 out of 5 Android apps are exposing private data and actually acting as spyware. I’m amused by this issue being reported nearing iPhone HD’s launch. But I will say that the reports are true. You guys must know that I’m an Android developer as you can see by the tag cloud in my blog is heavy with Android. I’m gonna try to write unbiased and let you all decide for yourselves. Been wanting to write about this since last night but only got the opportunity to do so. ...

Being a StartupLokal

Tonight was a StartupLokal meeting with @novpratama, @phoetz, @MissDimps, @rampok, @sagad, @nataliardianto and @nuniek. We gathered at Pizza e Birra, Plaza Indonesia EX and watched SVN vs ENG afterwards right there. The agenda of the meeting was to talk about the directions of where StartupLokal is going. Out of all the interesting topics, one topic that caught my attention was how to be a StartupLokal. I guess here in Indonesia you guys as a StartupLokal would agree that although it’s time consuming, money-vacuum, sleepless nights, change of biology clock, uncertainty and all the other traits of being one; it’s a risk we all are more than willing to take and getting through it one smile at a day. ...

Android & iPhone - NOT an Objective Opinion

Let everyone who is reading this be warned that this is NOT an objective article about either of the platform. So politely for fanboys, I’m just expressing my experience using both. It’s a love and hate relationship for me so both are winners and losers. The first of the two that I own and used everyday is an iPhone 3G 8 Gigs. I must tell you that every iPhone is a masterpiece of great User Interface (UI) design. I love the easing effects applied, it DOES NOT feel artificial and mostly missable. Overall it looks great! ...

A Very Full & Startup-esque Week

Okay last week was an amazing one. It’s a change from my routines albeit a welcomed one :) A lot of things happened in just 1 week both personally and professionally. First of all, my very own startup Ktemu is on a new milestone on the roadmap. Before actually launching later this coming months, I decided to go directly into the market. Ktemu is targeted as a B2B and also B2C startup. Not too worried on the latter part so I went head first with B2B. ...
