XL Unlimited Internet Bundling - The Truth

Since the subscription started back in November 2009, I was happy. Now as it turns out, something so good couldn’t be that good.
I’ve been their evangelist because of how satisfied I am with their unlimited internet package. Can you imagine I got 1Mbps with HSDPA coverage. A very good speed remembering the internet speed climate in Indonesia.
Now I’m deeply disappointed. This past week, today was the second time I wasn’t able to get any internet.

This Thursday night is a moment where innovation and most importantly being local matters. The potentials and ideas that we as Indonesians have are off the chart and I mean that! Indonesian Startups need mentoring and that’s a confession.

Before I start, while searching for a good picture of a Nexus One, I opened up Google’s official Nexus One web page. The Nexus One picture was actually a Flash applet lol. I hope this means that Google and Adobe are now soulmates lol.

Wow it’s been too long since I actually do any hands-on coding with PHP. This time I’m choosing Code Igniter as my framework of choice for an e-commerce project for one of Mediafusion’s client.

After these past few weeks dwelling with complicated Java and all its glory, going back to my comfort zone, it felt great! I really feel that this is the right time to code in PHP again.

Before starting, please make sure you have all the requirements of a regular Android development environment.

Today around 6 PM in the evening, my Blackberry’s time was messed up. The time for no reason was changed to 00:00. I checked my Date/Time settings and found something not right.
My operator is XL and what I like from XL is that it supports Network Time sync with my Blackberry. I choose to sync the time and what I found was the Network Time was set at the same 00:00 the next day as my Blackberry.

Good evening!
I’m liking my Nexus One, I’m sure you’ve read it over and over on my last posts. What’s really inspiring is the freedom to do just about anything you want with the phone.
I love how I can just push my self-developed applications onto the phone just by using Eclipse. It makes it easier to do testings. No complicated code signing and or certificate applications needed.
Anyways, these past few weeks, I’ve been developing an Augmented Reality application for a client.

OK I’ve been using the new OS for 2 days and everything seem quite unexpected. There are improvements and unfortunately, there are setbacks.
I’m gonna talk about setbacks. The most notable difference is when you realize that in your Home screen, you won’t find the Lock icon. This is annoying. I’m used to setting the Lock icon as one of the first 6 icons and most notably, locking the Blackberry with it before putting it in my pocket.

Okay, back in Jakarta after a 4 days trip to Singapore. Thanks to the organizing committee and the panelists for inviting Mediafusion to Singapore to present our ideas. Although the presentation was a fairly unprepared ordeal for us to say the least, we managed to get our ideas in the open and have gotten inputs and most importantly critics.
